We made some fabulous homemade pizzas for dinner, complete with stuffed crust - we tried anyway, though our success may have been up for debate. After dinner, Lucy and Evie went out and sprinkled their reindeer food they made on the snow. It's a little baggie of dry oats mixed with glitter to help the reindeer see your house.
Then, we did a family tradition that has spanned since I was little, and put on the nativity. It was short, sweet and super cute! All of my dad's trips to foreign countries, my mom's enormous supply of fabric, my old cabbage patch kid and a random Serta sheep made it all possible. Everyone got draped in some kind of fabric, but it worked! Brittany and I happily took the roles of pregnant camerawomen, so you won't see us in the photos. (Someone needed to document it!)
Following the nativity, we opened our Christmas Eve presents. It's always pajamas. Always. Well, at least since the second year of the tradition when I was really little. My mom didn't get the memo that she was supposed to get us pajamas and got us books instead. This caused quite a severe reaction/Christmas Eve meltdown from my cousin Mandy, who apparently also wanted a book. My mom never made that mistake again and it's been PJs ever since!
